Prepare the surface
The substrate must be sound, level and clean — free of dust, grease, curing compound and any loose material. Dampen very dry surfaces before you start.

Mix
Pour 4.8–5.2 litres of clean water into a clean bucket, then add the 20 kg bag while stirring. Mix with a slow-speed drill to a smooth, lump-free paste.

Comb it out
Spread the mix onto the substrate with a notched trowel, sized to your tile. Only cover as much area as you can tile before the adhesive skins over.

Set the tiles
Press each tile firmly into the ribbed bed with a slight sliding movement so the ribs collapse and the back makes full contact. Adjust to line while the adhesive is still workable.

Clean and grout
Clean excess adhesive out of the joints while it is still fresh. Once the tiles are firmly set, grout the joints.

Can I use it outdoors?
Yes. Tile Bond 3100 is designed for permanent indoor and outdoor tile fixing, and is frost and weather resistant once cured. It is formulated specifically for hot and tropical climates.
What can I fix with it?
Ceramic and clinker tiles, gres and stone ware, mosaics, marble and natural stone, terrazzo, and insulation and acoustic tiles — on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
Can I use it over heated floors?
Yes — Tile Bond 3100 is suitable for heated floors, as printed on the bag. Follow your heating system manufacturer's guidance on commissioning and warm-up before and after tiling.
What surfaces can I apply it to?
Concrete, cement screeds, and cement mortars and render. The surface must be sound, clean and free of dust, grease and loose material.
How much water do I add?
4.8 to 5.2 litres of clean water per 20 kg bag — about 24–26% by weight. Add the powder to the water, not the other way round, and mix to a smooth, lump-free paste.
Do I need to add anything else?
No. Tile Bond 3100 is a single-component powder. Clean water is the only thing you add.
How many bags will I need?
